Front Entry Lanscaping

Here are some pictures of our landscaping as your walk past the garage to our front door and in front of my office window. Most of the plants our landscaper put in will come back; however we will have to put in new flowers as does everyone. I think it looks pretty good. If you are thinking about hiring a professional landscaper read on, but know its worth it in the long run.

Back Yard Landscaping

Although our backyard is not very big at this time we really don't care; its commonly known around the house as "my therapy"!!! Anyway here are a couple of pictures I took this summer.

Landscaping Around the Garage

Katie and I decided to contract with a professional landscaping company to put in flower beds, shrubery and trees. It was really worth the money, but anytime you put customize and professional into the same sentence you better get the checkbook out and write a fat one. We did but well worth it.

Living Room, Galley, and Hall Bath

Well its been a while since my last post, so let me catch you up on a few things. As you all know we closed on the 11th of December and moved that weekend. It was definately a stressful time. My good friend and business partner went to picked up our refrigerator and television. When we tried to get the refrigerator in the front door it won't fit, we wound up taking the doors off. What we both thought (or hoped) would take may an hour to accomplish ended up taking four hours to so. Now you are saying to yourself "what took you so long" well two males reading directions is never a good thing and we had to run after tools more than one. The next day (Saturday) Roger and I went over to the duplex and began to move all our furniture. Once again it took longer than expected, but we got 90 percent of everything moved. We also had our dining room table and chairs, living room furniture and master bedroom set delivered it was crowded in our driveway. Okay enough of my ranting here are some picture of our house, we love it.

Sod, Landscaping, Guttering and Lighting

North Side of the House

Yes one of the windows does not have shutters, but will shortly
East side of the house and our main entry

Okay you are really going to have to look closely to see the guttering, but trust me its there all the way around the house. Its the first time EVER I've had my house completely wrappeding wonderful guttering and it matches the trim on the house cool uh!

Our builder bless his heart didn't tell us he took out the sod when he priced the contract price to us so we thought we had at least a little bit of a budget for sod, like I said or so we thought. We put down 10,000 square feet of sod and it still didn't completed cover all the bare soil.

The good part is we did have a landscaping budget which you can see its not bad we like it. We opted to buy the big trees, Katie and I can alway put in scrubery (bushes) next year. Oh I forgot we also have a sprinkler system I love it or at least I do for now. Take a look see the house is almost move in ready!

Kitchen

Here are a couple of pictures of the kitchen with the countertops installed, backsplash grouted in and the lighting completed, I must say Katie did an excellent job picking out colors, textures, stain, paint, etc.

Well its been a while since my last post and alot has happened. One of those things is all the lights have been installed and look great. Well most of the lights look great, our utility room otherwise known as the laundry room does have a great looking fixture however its very dark so I call it the cave. If you happen to the in the neighborhood stop by and see for yourself. Here are some pictures of other lighting.
